Not quite. A freddo espresso is a double espresso whipped with ice cubes and served over ice, with no milk, no syrup and no ice cream. It tastes of coffee, not of dessert.

FREDDO comes as whole beans. A bean-to-cup machine grinds them itself. For a portafilter machine or moka pot you need a grinder, set fine for espresso.

Yes, a shaker is enough. Shake the double espresso (60 ml) hard with 3 to 4 ice cubes for about 10 seconds until it is cold and foamy, then pour it over fresh ice. The frappé mixer is only the more convenient option because it whips the foam more evenly.

By calculation, 55 freddo espressos. A double espresso in our recipe uses 18 g of coffee and a bag holds 1,000 g, which gives 55 full servings. At €29.00 per bag that is about €0.52 of coffee per glass. Actual use depends on your dose.
